Advent Anticipation

'Say to those with fearful hearts, "Be strong, do not fear; your God will come to save you"' Isaiah 35. 4

This month we take time on Sundays together to stop and think - what fresh perspective might we have as we approach Christmas this year?

Today we consider 'Advent Anticipation' - what are we looking forward to? What are we waiting for? How are we to live today if we anticipate a time when God will make all things new?

On 9th Dec we'll be thinking about 'Advent Awe' - who is this Jesus who comes to be Immanuel, God with us? What does it mean to worship him?

On 16th December we look forward to our Children's Presentation 'A Super Christmas'. Thanks to those who are helping to rehearse and prepare.

On 23rd Dec in our usual All Age format, we will think about 'Advent Armour' - Paul writes to the Romans they should 'put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light'. Are we clothed and equipped appropriately for living in the light?

Could you make some extra room for God in the busyness of this month?

How will you make your good intentions a reality?
