'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind... and love your neighbour as yourself.' Matthew 22. 37-39
A church leader back in the 2nd century, St Irenaeus, suggested that 'the glory of God is a human being fully alive'. Have a think about that for a moment. Imagine that: that as we become more the people that God created us to be, we reflect and embody the glory of God. As we enjoy life, appreciate what we have, find fulfilment in friendships, and revel when we play, we reflect and embody the glory of God.
We all find different things exhilarating and fulfilling. Part of the wonderful abundance of God's creation is that we are each made in God's image and yet are all unique.
At St Frideswide's, we have fun, make friends and grow disciples. May we grasp that this is what we were made for and see where God would have us play our part.
