A resilient and rewarding life?
'...we continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will...' Colossians 1. 9
I wonder how you feel if you ever go to a restaurant where there is an 'all you can eat' buffet? Where to start? What to choose? Am I going to miss something?!
Some decisions are hard enough to make (and I don't mean at the all you can eat buffet) before you ever get to thinking whether God might have anything to say. We make choices every day, and some of them have a big impact.
The Bible is full of guidance and advice, but it's more about how we live than what decisions we might make in a specific situation. And over everything there is a sense that God's will for each of us is that we live a resilient and rewarding life, in the knowledge that he loves us, forgives us and saves us.
Over the next few weeks we are going to look closer at Paul's letter to the Colossians.
It's only 4 chapters long.
Could you take half an hour or so this week to read it from start to finish?
Why not make a note of anything that strikes you or any questions you have?
