Fullness of life
'I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.' John 10.10
This Sunday we welcome Mark and Rosalie Balfour to St Frideswide's, who are our mission partners working with CMS (Church Mission Society). They work amongst street children and vulnerable women in Guatemala.
There is much that can rob people of the life which Jesus comes to bring. Poverty and neglect, oppression and violence, fear and self-doubt. Sometimes it looks obvious to us what makes up a 'disadvantaged' life. But there are many throughout the world who, despite their material poverty, find joy and fulness of life.
Mark and Rosalie share their experiences with us this morning of where fulness of life is found in these sorts of circumstances. We pray that they would know God's rich blessing as they follow his call, and that they and those they serve would discover more of God's love and compassion.
What is that, for you, makes life worth living?
Why not pray this week that you would know a greater fulness of life in Christ?
