'O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his steadfast love endures for ever.' Psalm 136. 1
There is much to give thanks for as we come to the end of this term - inspiring visits from Rose from Open Doors, Keith's wonderful testimony about the local outreach work happening through Crosslinks, and the Balfours' visit last week.
Steve and Helen Hallett have arrived - Steve, our new curate, is doing a great job getting out and about visiting and making contacts in the community. Ayo has successfully completed his first year of ordination training and is enjoying a bit of well-earned rest over the summer. Gill is growing our pastoral team and there have been lots of opportunities to serve and grow.
We also have a lot to look forward to after the summer. We will be offering small groups for the 6 months till Lent, starting mid-late September. I am excited for our St Frideswide's Day trip to Oxford on 19th October. Alpha for young people and adults will be going ahead and we are planning Sundays which I am confident will be fun and thought-provoking.
Please remember that during August we meet at 10am Sunday mornings for joint worship with our friends from Spurgeons. 9.15am again on Sunday 1st September.
As ever, please be in touch if you have any pastoral needs or would like to chat or pray about anything. You can reach us via facebook or email firstname.lastname@example.org
