Thoughts following our Community Organising Day

Just last week we celebrated one year of Community Organising at Water Eaton Church Centre. As we concluded the morning, the guests were invited to record any questions or comments that they may be carrying in the minds regarding what they had heard. I couldn’t help but notice that most of the post-it notes were encouraging us to continue looking outwards to our community: advertise the activities that take place at WECC, have intentional conversations which involve both church congregations, get community ‘buy-in’ to list just a few. Continuing to develop a habit of openness and welcome can only be a positive step as it ensures that everyone’s voice is heard. It may be that you are already part of WECC and would like to share your ideas of how we develop community further. Let’s continue this conversation and if you want to share specific ideas or ask questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
