Civic Prayer Breakfast

Steve and Nudrat attended a civic gathering at Christ the Cornerstone last week. Gathering for a Civic Prayer Breakfast provided the opportunity to meet, listen and share with representatives from across the city who serve this city in many different roles.

The Woodhill Prison Chaplain shared the importance of seeing the humanity amongst the community he serves.

A Pastor in the north of the city shared how his team is responding to the needs of the diverse community he lives amongst whilst keeping open channels of communication with all community members.

The representatives from the police were eager to share how many knives had been removed from circulation due to the combined work of the charity sector and the statutory agencies – all this to keep communities safe.

The need to strengthen and preserve community was high on the agenda for everyone gathered including the crime commissioner Matthew Barber and MP Iain Stewart.

It may be that you would like to share your ideas of how we develop community further in our part of Milton Keynes, please don’t hesitate to contact Nudrat, our Community Organiser on nudrat@stfrideswides.org
