Lewis Simonds joins our team this Summer!

It was a delight to visit Lewis a couple of weeks ago at Trinity College Bristol where he has been at theological college for the last three years. Lewis and the family are moving to MK this week and he will be ordained as a Deacon in Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford at 10am on Saturday 5th July. All are welcome to this service - why not make a day of it and enjoy a visit to the city as well as supporting Lewis at this important moment in his ministry.

Lewis will be curate at St Frideswide's for the coming few years. This is a training post, where he will have lots of practical experience in church leadership. He comes with many gifts and much enthusiasm and I am sure we will learn lots from one another. He will be a great addition to our team and a blessing to our church as we seek to 'have fun, make friends and grow disciples of Jesus.' Please pray for him and the family as they settle into this next phase. When he arrives he will be very happy to accept invitations for a walk or a cuppa so he can get to know the wonderful people who make up St Frideswide's!
